Background

In 2018 the Victorian government established the community-led support group in Wyndham to:
  • Support young people in South Sudanese community and their families
  • Link South Sudanese young people and their families to activities & services
  • Youth outreach
  • Youth Development Program
  • Linking people to education and employment pathways
  • After school recreation & leisure activities
  1. Holiday programs
  2. Homework clubs
  • Financially supporting sporting teams and cultural groups
  • Women's & Men's Groups
  • Family Support Packages (based on eligibility)

Program Activities

Management & Staff

Junubi Wyndham(JW)  is funded the Victorian government and auspiced by Wyndham CEC. JW is staffed by a Program Manager, project officers and youth workers, all from South Sudanese backgrounds. Our  work is guided by community consultation and supported by a local reference group.
